Online MLM Marketing – Choose One Method

by admin on June 27, 2010

When it comes to online mlm marketing there is the approach that a marketer should use all the available methods and tactics in order to drive traffic to his website and generate leads for his opportunity. Of course no matter how good and sound that advice sounds it also has some flaws that can keep you from getting excellent results.

First of all not everyone is good at every marketing method and while some methods may seem interesting and you do them with excitement some others may bore you to death and harm your productivity as you procrastinate trying to avoid what seems like a chore to you. Everyone has a favorite method for promoting his business that likes it much and enjoy doing it and usually is the one that brings the best results to him because he is doing it with passion and love. On the other hand some marketing methods may bore you or you are unable to understand them well and utilize them to their full potential. Which is expected since if you don’t like and enjoy something it can give you a hard time to learn it and start using it.

Second, it harms your productivity. Time that could be used to bring great results if spend to your top marketing method now it is spent on methods and techniques that won’t help you to achieve the same results and as a consequence postpone your MLM success and hinter the growth of your network marketing organization. If you also happen to spend money on that advertising method that can also be a bad thing for your budget since that money would have been more productive elsewhere giving you better results for every dollar spent.

Third, it is stopping you from becoming a real expert in your favorite marketing method. If all that time that you spend on other MLM promotional methods you devote it to your top choice in which you are really good, as time progresses you would become even better at that form of marketing. It is true that the more you use something the better you become to it, like training. If you apply that to one method pretty soon you would become one of the top experts in using it which means that the results you get from it would increase tenfold. That is true in every field in life, those at the top are getting the biggest piece of the pie. It is the Pareto principle at work, the top 20% gets the 80% of the results.

But does the approach of doing a little bit of everything has only flaws? Or are there any positives too?

Well, like everywhere else in life there are positives and negatives together as there is nothing 100% good or bad. In our case the greatest benefit from that approach is the fact that it offers security. One method that brings fabulous results now may die tomorrow and you won’t be able to use it again or the results that is giving you may diminish due to new technological innovations that make the old marketing channels obsolete.

But risk is synonym with business and there is no 100% safe approach not to business or in MLM network marketing. The good management of risk is what makes businesses successful and not the seek of security and avoidance of danger. Those willing to accept risks are those that usually are getting ahead in life and make most of the money.

In my opinion it is much better to become extremely good at one thing and when things change and it doesn’t bring results any more to move to another thing and start learning from the beginning. And after all a marketing method usually is not eradicated completely but it just changes form and medium and if you are an expert at it it’s much more easier to you to move to that new form and conquer it quite easily.

But sometimes it doesn’t have to be all black or all white, you can also use mixed approaches that can give you good results while at the same time you keep the risk at a tolerable level to you.

Such an approach would be to devote a big percentage of your time and budget to the MLM marketing method that brings you the best results and you love using while also allocating the rest to other methods that can give you a sense of security in case the first one dries up. Now the percentage that you devote to each is solely left to you and the level of risk that you can accept at your home based business.

While someone with a big tolerance in risk may devote 90% of his time and budget to his favorite method, someone with a low risk tolerance may keep it at the range of let’s say 30% – 40%. That is up entirely to the individual and what he seeks from his business. Of course it also depends on how risky is someone in his life. The more someone is risky generally in life the more risky would be when it comes to his mlm business. On the other hand someone who seeks security in his life and tries to avoid risks would exhibit a similar behavior in his business.

But of course you can always change your appetite for risk if you judge that is necessary for you to adopt a more risky behavior. The bad thing is that you have to change yourself internally first, something that is not happening fast and easy but it takes time and work through personal development.

The right knowledge that can help you build a thriving MLM business and taste success as soon as possible. Apply our advice in you network marketing home business and see it changing for the better. You deserve to make the income you want from your opportunity and we teach how to overcome all the obstacles one by one.
