Have you ever known someone who made good money in one of these MLM companies (also called pyramid schemes)?
I knew some guys who were really smart and they worked away at one for a year, and never made more than $200 per month.
Have you ever known anyone to have success with these things?

I’ve never known anyone who actually made ANY PROFIT in multilevel marketing. It is extremely difficult to be successful in MLM. One of the only ways to be successful is to create boiler rooms. It is virtually impossible to make any profit actually retailing whatever product the MLM has. The product only exists to give the appearance of legitimacy.
MLM’s are actually worse than a classic pyramid scheme (which has no product) because the loss rate in a classic pyramid is 90% while the loss rate in MLM exceeds 99% of participants.
However, there are people making millions of dollars in MLM, but they do so off the backs of their downline in which 99% of them are losing money. Anyone with any common sense can see the fraud. The reason the top person makes all the money is because everyone who participates is required to purchase inventory on a regular basis. Put it on paper and you have a money transfer scheme. The company claims that people make commission from the product sales, but the reason the product sells is because participants are forced to purchase it.
There are a lot of peoples that did and continue to do a lot of money in MLM.
If we take Nu Skin company as example: the company is public – which mean that her books are open to the public (trade on NASDAQ symbol = NUS) so you can check and see how much money the company paid to her distributors on each year.
